Because Milele is a dating service, some information you choose to provide may be personal or sensitive. Please review this Policy before creating an account.

Account information
This may include your name, email address, phone number, password credentials in hashed form, date of birth, gender, account status, and account-creation information.
Profile information
This may include your city, state, profile biography, photos, occupation, education, relationship goals, marriage preferences, interests, cultural background, Kenyan connections, and other information you voluntarily provide.
Optional sensitive information

Providing optional profile information is voluntary. Do not provide information you do not want Milele to process for the features you request.
Photos and verification information
Milele may collect profile photos and separate photos submitted for verification. Verification photos are used for trust, fraud-prevention, safety, and moderation purposes and are not automatically used as your public profile photo.
Dating activity
Milele may process likes, passes, matches, preferences, blocks, reports, and other activity necessary to provide dating and matching features.
Messages
Milele processes messages sent through the platform in order to deliver the messaging service and to support safety, security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.
Payment information
Paid subscription transactions are processed through payment service providers. Milele generally does not store your complete payment-card number.
Technical and security information
Milele may collect session information, device or browser information, timestamps, security logs, IP-related information or hashed identifiers, and similar technical information used to operate and protect the service.
3. How we use information

- create and maintain your account;
- verify your email and account details;
- provide profiles, matching, discovery, likes, matches, and messaging;
- provide photo-verification and trust features;
- process subscriptions and billing;
- prevent fraud, scams, spam, abuse, and unauthorized access;

- operate customer support and account recovery;
- maintain, debug, secure, and improve the service;
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. How information is shared
Milele does not need to sell your personal information in order to operate its core dating service.
Information may be disclosed to service providers that help operate Milele, including providers for:
- website and database hosting;
- email delivery;
- payment processing;
- security and fraud prevention;
- technical infrastructure and support.
Milele may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect users, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce agreements, or protect Milele's rights and systems.
5. Information visible to other members
Information you place on your dating profile may be visible to other eligible Milele members according to the platform's privacy settings.
Your exact date of birth is not intended to be displayed as your public birthday. Milele may instead use it to calculate and display your age.
Your password is never displayed to other members.
6. Verification badges
Milele may display verification indicators based on verification processes completed through the service.
Verification indicators should not be interpreted as a guarantee that another person is safe, truthful, financially trustworthy, free of criminal history, or suitable for a relationship.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Milele uses cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, preferences, and operation of the website.
Milele may also use optional analytics or measurement technologies where enabled and permitted. Where required, Milele will seek appropriate consent before using optional technologies.
8. Data retention
Milele retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and transaction records, protect users, investigate abuse, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and maintain security.
Some information may remain in backups, fraud-prevention records, payment records, moderation records, or legal records after account deletion where retention is reasonably necessary or legally required.
9. Account deletion
Members may use available account controls to request deletion of their Milele account.
Account deletion does not necessarily require immediate deletion of every record where Milele has a legitimate or legal reason to retain limited information, including safety, fraud, dispute, accounting, or legal records.

Milele uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information.
No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Members should use a unique password and protect their account credentials.

Depending on your state of residence and whether a particular privacy law applies to Milele, you may have rights regarding access, correction, deletion, portability, or certain uses of personal information.
